Leather Seats on E-bay??

Looks very nice! Where did you find the Landcruiser headrests? They look larger and "fuller" than the 4R's.

On an interesting note, I was looking at some new 4Runner's while I had my car in for service and noticed that the factory gray leather is lighter than the factory gray cloth, it's the same with the taupe color too.

I agree, those match. Strangely, they too look kind of beige (at least to me). Do you have pic showing the seats, headrest, and the dash/door panel?

Now I'm at home looking on my home pc and they look perfectly gray. What is it with that color damn it!!!!!

yea, the LC headrest are really nice on your head! Fit the new 4R nicely too! He took the LC headrest off his brothers LC to compare the factory color to the Ebay leather for you guys to see how perfectly it match.

Ask and you shall receive! (See attachment).

The leather for the armrest comes separately. You can remove the armrest by prying off the plastic cover on the exposed side and unscrewing the screws (I think there are 2 or 3). The cupholder/tray is held in by 3 screws. You'll need to remove the cloth cover partially, unscrew the screws holding the tray in and pulling the tray out before you can remove the whole cloth cover. The double seat-back was the hardest part to install. I'm actually thinking about re-installing it to get a tighter fit. As you can see, I've got too many loose parts on that portion. I did that part without hogring pliers and also re-used the old hogrings. I've got all the "right" tools now, so I'll be tackling it soon.

You have to remove the front seats, in fact all the seats.

To me, the right tools were big cutting plyers to snip the hog rings. tin snips didn't work. I had to slip a screwdriver in, twist, then slide out each hog ring. Works, but slow.
needle nose plyers, 12mm, 14mm socket, sissors, flat screwdriver,

I highly reccomend using zip ties. I used the smallest size mostly. on the rear seatback, where the zip would be against sheetmetal, i used the med size because they'd be harder to cut through if that were ever an issue.

The ebay covers were a perfect color match for me as well.

Don't start this project thinking it is easy. It is not. It takes a long time. I'd say it took me a total of 20hrs, being slow and methodical, as well as having to figure out things by myself.
tkr was a big help with some issues.
What helps is to just do a seat at a time.
The headrest go over existing covers.
The rear seat cushions are easiest, then ft seat cushions, rear small back, ft back, rr arm rest, rr large back is toughest.

You'll need cutting pliers to cut the old hog rings, or you can pry them open like I did. You'll also need about 150-200 hog rings, hog ring plier(s) and all the necessary sockets, ratchets and screwdrivers to remove the seats from the car.

Like rensho said, you can also use zip ties (which I'm ready to use if I don't get the right results).

It is a difficult process and takes some patience. As you can see from the picture I posted, I kind of just "winged" it because I didn't know what I was doing.

If I remember correctly, the seatbelt is bolted onto the frame of the car with a 10mm bolt, so just remove it and that'll give you access to installing the seat. Just remember how it's installed so you can put it back later.

It sucks that Toyota only has leather in the Limited, I saw all the places around here (CT) that the dealers use for aftermarket leather, and it looked like I stiched it ( not good), So I ended up buying the limited, If I got the aftermarket, then added heaters to it I would be only 2000 off of a limited, I wish Toyota offered more Mix & Match, But I love my new ride, just clicked 1K today, It is a week and a half old. Gas is getting $$$$
