I like the idea. The execution could use a little work, but all in all I think its a good mod

I think it could be neat to do this with all the interior door lights triggering lights sitting just below said open door. So, open a door, the light directly below it comes on. Pretty similar wiring set up as you presented.

All you'd need to do is add the new LED lights in parallel with door light. The passenger door light doesn't turn on when the driver door opens, and so on and so forth.
