So I'm planning in changing my LEDs on my dash. I found a really impressive, please don't kill me thread on Y^*_#{ch.com.I pretty much learned everything I need to do on this thread. So I'm ready except a couple
questions before I order my LEDs...
1. I'm getting #74 LEDs from autoillumination, except autoillumination.com his like slot of confusing other LEDs.. I want like a dark bright blue I don't know which one to pick from any help?

2. What's a hvac and a guage cluster,

3. I plan to change the needle to blue can I do that to? Thanks for any reply I would love to order them before the end of today.-franki

1. Go to v-leds.com not autolumination.com Keep in mind that the 74's aren't for the speedometer/RPM guages. but the 74's work on just about every other bulb: glove box, HVAC, shifter, ect pwr, etc etc.

2. HVAC is the weather and climate control. AKA heat/ AC.

3. I'm not sure.

Hope that helps.

and depending on your year rig, its either a 24 bulb or a 194 for the gauges. as for changing the needle to blue, you would have to sand down your current needles, and put a light coat of translucent blue paint for it to work, but it cant be that hard

Thanks for your reply I appretiate it I was wondering does the site you gave me have the blue I'm looking for I want it to match my pioneer deck and if you have seen that blue it's kids a dark bright blue

yea i have a pioneer deck as well and the blue matched pretty well. the only issues you will run into are the sections that not only have a green bulb but a green tint to the item as well. if you look at the automatic selector lever, if you put a white led in there, its still a little green. and anything thats red, if you put a blue led behind it it kinda just washes out the red color.

make sense?

Ya it does but I'm only confused now on the websites. Can you tell me exactly what to get cause the autoillumination has so many selections I don't want to waste my Joey on the worn one..

thats why i used v-leds, way more organized website so you know your getting the right size, and if you have any questions on if your bulb will fit email him.

I Did my 97 Runner completly in blue LEDs

There are only 3 194 bulbs to light up the instrument pannel, and my needles show up just fine..

Changing LED for instrument dash

I was interested in doing that same blue lighting to match the blue lighting on my new Kenwood system. Was it difficult changing out the dash lighting. And can you post the #'s for the bulbs again.

Thank You,
Frank C...

Frank, what year is your 4runner?

Its not too hard. You just have to take the dash apart, then put it back together.
