So we would have to change out the whole switch if one of the bulbs blew???
THAT IS CRAZZEE!!

There has to be a way

All the lights are the same for the 99 except for the dash? well i looked at my ash tray and i don't see a bulb any where. That's why i assumed there may be different. Thank you though.

Sorry about that

Your ashtray does not have a light? Neither does mine! not unless it is blowed.

Sorry about that.

Ashtrays should have lights. Mine was blown when I changed it, but it did have one. There is a green plastic piece that covers the opening where the bulb is. It is located inside the ashtray on the top.

cool

there was a large circuit board for all the switches, under the auto switch for the drivers door, there is a small green diode soldered onto the large circuit board

just looks like too much work to change

Make a Sticky on a bulb chart

Hey MODS:

Very informative but long!

I hope that everyone is having fun doing this awesome mod. It is worth every penny.

im not a noob, i just dont have access to my 4runner right now.

ive read a couple of LED threads and havnt been able to come to a conclusion on what is being used in the dome and map lights. they are not the same bulb as far as i can remember. can we use the oznium for all four of those?

anyone that has done a full LED swap to an '02, i need your help. i cant figure out if i have #74s, #24s #194s, neo A type or neo B type. i do know that it is a combination of the above. when i get home in february or march i plan on having the lights waiting to be installed, im in iraq and all i can do is read. i cant get hands on, which i need.

has anyone replaced the blinkers, check engine, 4wd, atrac, and all the other lights that are in the gauge cluster? if so, please inform what was used.

SORRY for the long post, but thanks in advance for the information.

I'm pretty certain on two things:

Ozinum will be great for your dome light.

Nobody has changed out check engine, 4x4, or other less used lights.

Thanks for serving!

I did the full swap on my 02, got all my LED's from www.autolumination.com and www.v-leds.com

I changed my blinkers, they are are 74's.

so thats a lot of 74s..

Fosheezy, did you do the 4wd light? And do you have a complete list of bulbs and number of each used.

Alot of 74's for all those other guage lights. Pattywagon on Yotatech did the blinkers too. I am going to do just the blinkers also. That seems to be the most economical since you rarely use the other lights. Maybe do the 4wd but that might look good offset in green.

here's the exact list for the 02 4Runner:

For the gauge cluster: Three #24
Key Ring: One #74
Cig Lighter: One #74
Ash Tray: One #74
Shifter: One #74
Glove Box:: One #74
Map Lights: Two Ba9s
HVAC Controls & Rear Window Switch: Two Type A & Three Type B Neo-Wedges
Middle & Rear Dome Lights: http://www.oznium.com/thin-led-domelight it's the 2.0" x 2.0"

You can get all those at:
www.v-leds.com
&
www.autolumination.com

awesome guys, thanks for the info. ill be ordering my lights here shortly.

fosheezy the list is greatly appreciated:awais:

that basically clears everything up until i can have hands on my 4runner. for this mod. still MANY more to add to the pile of parts.

do the oznium's fit in the map lights?

Wow! I installed my 1.5" x 1.5" cool white dome light tonight and it is REALLY bright, much brighter than stock. I have my windows tinted with 20% up front and factory in the rear and it is super easy to see in with the light turned on.

This is an awesome mod.

Ozinum shipped my order very quickly too.

yea they look nice, but i cant drop almost 60 dollars on just two lights for my dome and rear hatch.

but if i did i would defiantly order them.

I just did my front one. I don't really use my rear hatch and if I do it's more than likely not at night.

Anyway I highly suggest this to anyone.
