LED lighting

Don't buy from autolumination, unless you want them to go dead a week later... very cheap LED's. Go with v-leds, never had a problem with them..

I'll take your word for it! Here's a question for you and anyone else who has done LED lighting in front foot wells: How do you do it? lol

What product did you use, how did you wire it up, how did you mount it, etc.

I'm talking about like this:

Agreed, 100%.

Also, for the dome light (and rear cargo light), I couldn't recommend this one more: TaskLED Dome Light module (link in my sig also). This guy is great (I know him from another forum), and he is a Land Cruiser buff. The module is well worth the money, and is LEAPS and BOUNDS better than the others you might get somewhere like V-LEDs. Search for reviews on the IH8MUD forums if you don't believe me. :p

I'm not sure, but it might even work for the map lights. I went with a LED array (one RED and one WHITE) for my map lights, but the dome light module might work for the maps too.

i ordered from autolumination and so far so good, i really hope they last longer cause man they took a whole day to install. (my mistake) no mas! :upset: but the key ring is the #74 super star. its the one that is a clear red color. on the site. but ya so far i love them!!
fosheezy i know you have mentioned why you didn't like the LED's from them but i forgot why. did you order a bunch and they all went bad? and have others have had the same experience too??

Fo_Sheezy is so right. In the past month almost half of the LEDs I've bought from Autoilumination have burnt out. I'm pissed.

The reason I didn't order from V-leds for all of them was because I didn't see them listed. I know now that you can ask for other sizes.

I still need to figure out how to change the map light and visor light.

ah crap! serious? that blows, hopefully it was a bad batch or something. man i f't up my neutral safety switch (i think) installing those little buggers. Now sometimes my keys get stuck or it wont go in park or it wont come out of park its so frustrating!!

edit: has anyone had a good experience with them?

so fo_sheezy, the led's arent the same from 2000 to 2002. anyone know what leds i need for a 2000

I'm pretty sure they're different for a '99 as well. There's gotta be someone around here with '99 who's done an LED interior.

Oznium 2"x2" Cool Blue Dome Light

Wow, that pretty much sums it up. I have seen posts on here about how bright it is, but I was still skepitcal. As soon as I got it fired up I was impressed, and that was in the middle of the day. At night it is like a little blue tinted sun in my car. WOW!! :rocker:

is anyone having problems with the LEDs not always working? Mine stay on for a while and then blink off...it is super anoying! I did the climate control (limited) and the defrost/ect button and the rear window switch. I used LEDs from autolumination and superbrightleds. should i try a different website?

I ordered a lot of mine from autoilumination and now at least half of them have burned out. It's only been 3-5 months. Gay!

I'm going to buy them from another site soon. Looking for suggestions if anyone wants to contribute. I need #74's and B9's.

V-LEDs. At least I've heard good reviews about them. I ordered Ba9's and #74's from them, I'll let you know how they are when they get here. Should be within the next few days.

my autolumination lights are doing good so far. i had one that was blinking and i just turned it a little harder into the socket and no more blinking so they may be loose but from what i hear from everyone is that the lights from that site are crap. i guess we'll see. im happy so far cross my fingers casue i do not wanna get back there again EVVVVER!! lol

How?

The ones I saw where like $4, $6, and $8. Then there was $4 for shipping.

I guess I did pay about $6 per pair from autoilumination, so I guess it's not too bad.
