LED lighting

sorry a/b that i didnt see the other empty slot. it looks like you got taken care of though. if you take off that white plastic piece ive heard in the 99's there are 2 under that. also there is a huge post under yotatech where "the man" fosheezy has a list of all the bulb sizes. i think i posted earlier on this thread. but david will prob get it for ya. oh and if you replace your shifter light (automatic trans) dont try to take the actual handle off. i messed up a switch trying to twist it off... $150 to fix no
beuno! but ya once your done it should look pretty good, IMO it gets rid of the grandma faded green look :bigok:

Here is the list I've compiled of all the bulbs necessary for an LED conversion on the interior of a '99:

#74 Bulbs
-Key Ring (1)
-Climate Control (2)
-Glovebox (1)
-Ashtray (1)
-Blinkers in instrument cluster (2)
Total:7

#194 Bulbs
-Shifter (1)
Total: 1

#24 Bulbs
-Speedometer/Fuel Gauge (1)
-Tachometer/Engine Temp (1)
Total: 2

Neo-Wedge Type A (8mm)
-Rear Window (1)
-ECT/Rear Defroster (1)
-A/C Button (1)
Total: 3

This is what works for my '99 but understand that it may be different for yours. From my understanding, the bulbs are not consistent in '99 through '02. So take my list with a grain of a salt if you don't have a '99.

Positive. It's a 158 bulb which is the same as a 194. Just double checked earlier today and it clearly has "158" on the bulb and I tested the fit with a #194 I got for my corners.

Ok, I've converted my 99 also. But:

I have THREE 24's in the gauge cluster, not two. And my A/C isnt climate controlled, but it requires THREE 74's, not two.

The shifter is indeed a 194.

This is weird, maybe 99 SR5's are different than each other?

Can you confirm for me where you placed those 3 #24's in the cluster? Here's a pic of the instrument panel:

That gauge looks different than mine, i'm pretty sure. haha

the left and right circles are "general" locations because i wasnt able to see the Large Green twist-lock bases for the #24's.

the center one is indeed underneath the white plastic.

Got it, thank you. Now I just need V-LEDS to email me back so I can get my #24s. They don't have them on their site but they have them in inventory, just takes a while for them to respond to my emails.

Yup they just may take 24 hrs. They are super nice.

You dont have the digital climate do you?
Well if you do, one of the bulbs you get from VLEDS will be too long and wont fit. I will have to take a pic of if. MAN it made me mad. IT is just my knobs have no lights just the display itself.

Any ideas?
 
quick question I cant find were to get thoes 24 bulbs for my cluster on autolumination. Would someone beable to help me out with that. thanks alot.

Its a 99 SR5. I looked on some other threads and saw people were putting 194 bulbs in so i got some from vleds.com but they were to big. Im guessing i should try to put #24s in instend of 194#.

yep. thats what it requires.

go to the #74 bulbs and scroll down a little bit on www.autolumination.com

it should say:

"194 too big, 74 too small? 24 is what you need!"

I put up what you need.

99-2002 use the same bulbs with the exception of climate controls.

I have digital since I have the limited.

2 #74s- One for the key ring and one for the HVAC
2 BA9s- Both for the map lights
1 Visor light
2 bulbs for blinkers

So my question to y'all is can I buy all of these from V-leds?

Links to all the bulbs I need would be helpful. I'm not sure what size the blinkers are and I know the visor light is a special bulb.

Looking to order these this week. Thanks.

If you dont see what you need on V-LED's site, you can email them. They are VERY VERY helpful. That is how I found my digital climate control on there.

Have suggestions for the brightest 74's and BA9s?

Can anyone confirm 74's are the right size for blinkers in a '98.

David do you remember the link for the visor light that Josh posted?
