LED lights

I'm thinking of doing some custom LED lighting on the front of my 4Runner. Not sure if I want to go "in" the headlight, "around" the headlight or around the fog area. Not looking for a light bar. Looking for anyone who has something different that they have done to get some ideas. Thanks...

I had racesport LEDs installed in both the headlight and fog light. It's a lot brighter for driving purposes, and looks great cosmetically. Only thing is that it was pricey (℮ $500)
 
After experimenting with LED's on exterior of my 2004 Runner I've decided to keep LED lighting only inside. Could be weather or harsh conditions but I noticed failures or flickering of 194 bulbs in headlight marker lights. As for headlight low beam LED's I believe they are bright visualy but do not concentrate enough beam in reflector housing to be effective; do not use those as primary ilumination for night driving, only as DRL. I hope this helps. GL
 
I would agree that the projector limits the LEDs effectiveness in the low beams, but when I added them to the fog lights, it's more than enough
 
I have them interior and for DRL with no issues. Looking for something different (think Audi headlight) just something distinctive yet cool looking with out looking cheesy. Much like this-

Took a few pictures on a dark road this evening. You can tell by the picture from inside how bright it is going down the road... I don't think my iPhone could clear up the pics from outside any better, but you get the idea.

Those are my headlights.......you MUST have good taste :)

So I have 5500k HID low and LEDs for my DRL, that light is mainly from your LED fogs? What type do you have in there?
 
LED Lights

I made up theses for my T4R. 290k mcd and wired them so they come on when the ignition is on. Get tons of looks and even started selling them as a kit.

They make a really nice version of those that the LED is on the edge so it fits perfectly in the crease, almost did that and was going to follow around the entire side like you did, except around the fog and down. I just didn't like the color, was more like 7k color. I ended up using G.E. LED strips under the mid grill. I do like the way yours looks though.
