LED tailights and ABS light?

Just installed LED tailights on my wife's 4runner, I believe they are from ebay, and they tripped the ABS light on the dash. I have read about adding a resistor or load equalizer, but is it possible to splice in the the stock brake light socket and bulb to create enough resistance? I figured it would only take one side and then I would just leave the bulb behind the lights or behind the side panel near the factory plug.

YES that is actually the easiest way to take care of that problem. I'm running the LED tails, with the LED 3rd and my halogen bulb burnt out so i left the bulb in there and spliced away. Haven't ever had a problem

Yes, it still has the stock 3rd brake light but the abs light came on anyway. I was hoping it wouldn't since that seems the norm.
