Just ordered some 194's for my license plates. I will be ordering the rest of the LED's later this week as well! I would like to know how hard it would be if I were to install some backup lights and how would I be able to enable the lights. :) Thanks guys :D


P.s I'm still trying to figure out how to disable flash on mom's canon. I'll check back later! :)

backup lights shouldn't be hard. I have seen guides on here, or possibly yotatech. I think the hardest part is running a powerline from the lights all the way up to the battery. but after that, i think you should use the reverse light line to signal the relay for the lights you are adding
 
What color LED's did you order? I put blue ones in, and they are really freakin bright. I'm not quite sure if they're legal or not. People can probably see my ride from a few miles back.

Benormous, I'm sure they would have a detailed instruction of adding the lights onto the 4runner :p.

Whatever state you live in is probably strict on LED's for the license plates. In VA, only white are allowed to be used during nighttime because any other colors would "disrupt" the officer's view if a cop is behind you.

Edit: Never mind, I got it. I'm learning a lot of things about my 4Runner :] :]

I've been pulled over for that exact thing. No fun. It is illegal. haha
 
Just got it and unscrewed the light housing. I'm having a difficult time "inserting" my new lightblub. I am sporting 1 194's and I'm not quite sure how to make the new LEDs stay inside the area. Thanks.

P.S - Talking about the license plate LED's, :D

Once you take the cover off all you should have to do is pull out the old bulb and insert the new one. I believe they sit horizontal.

Did. :| It won't turn on. What's strange is that when I had my headlights on earlier today, my clock was dim. But now, when I turn it on, it stays the same (Clock doesn't dim) so it's really weird. Any suggestions??

I also notice when I press "lock" on my remote, the flashes doesn't flash like it's suppose to when it's either unlocked or locked. :| Wiring issues perhaps??

Alright, how much would they cost nowadays? Also, are you positive that the wirings are not bad? Eariler today, everything were working. The headlights were on, the taillights were on, the clock was dim. But after I tried the new V-LED blubs, they stopped working. THanks!
