How do you all keep your steering wheels looking so good? Mine started showing signs of wear so I put a cover on it years ago to help preserve it.

Yep, altimeter.
It's out of a Hilux Surf w/right hand drive and required quite a bit of modification to put it there since the hump on the dash is on the opposite side. It was a birthday gift from my husband who likes to spoil me so by giving me things I really have to puzzle out.
If you could find a left-hand drive version you'd be way ahead of the game.
I'd never have bought it for myself and probably would almost be mad if I knew how much he paid for it....I think it was Ebay, maybe from Australia:

That was an option in the 1st Gen 4Runner. Getting rare, but you may still find them on eBay or Junkyards.

I want to stress that my JDM Hilux Surf for right-hand drive version requires modification to look decent and work well on our left-hand drive trucks.
Certainly it would be worth it to look into what psraff is talking about- the 1st gen's inclinometer. Iirc it has a straight bottom which may be easier to work with. You also have to watch the height, too tall and too far back and you'll have problems blocking the defroster air flow. Too far over to the right and you're on the airbag cover.
I've seen where someone took the cover off of an inclinometer, modified and installed it in the center part of the dash, under the climate controls.
I think other brands of vehicles have them too, another avenue to look into if you really want one.

Old pic, but nothing has really changed (minus the broken iPhone).
iPad running Gaia GPS, handheld ham radio, CB radio in ashtray, and OTRATTWs switches under the radio. Out of frame is the transmission and coolant gauges on the shifter surround.
How do you have that iPhone mounted? I love it!

Those put ours to shame! Great work man, I just read about the work you got done with it and it's coming along great!
I think I'll do the SC first. Then (and only if I'm down in the States) would I look into something like that. My driving style up here doesn't need it. But damn... If one stick is good, three must be amazing! LOL

Here's the cockpit all put back together. Well, mostly. I'll need a couple custom shift boots and I have to put the seats back in. lol

First time I've ever seen 120V receptacles in a center console. Very smart!

Thanks. Most guys stuff a CB where the ashtray is. I wheel alone and I like coffee. Specifically fresh ground whole bean in a french press. I got on Amazon and found a 300W inverter that had the correct size I needed. Put it in the ashtray slot and that was it.

Outdoor coffee.... Nothing better! I think I'll run with you. LOL
Normally I'll only have a couple of cups a week, but I was out camping a few weeks ago and coffee on the campfire is unbeatable. I was making two pots a day (three cups each)!!! LOL

Added some more stuff.
The hydro flask/oversized water bottle holder is actually just an old French Press that had the glass beaker break. Going to paint it black but for now it mocks up great! BEST part is no drilling holes! Just used the one already in place.
First aid kit and extinguisher moved for faster use after I came up to a car fire a few weeks ago.
Got a light switch but put a fan sticker on it for the transmission cooler fan.

Wait... How did you mount the fire extinguisher there? Could you post pics and or details? Alternately, I could see mounting mine where your french press water bottle holder is mounted. I have an extinguisher, but for now it is under the rear of the driver's seat. This is not ideal, but better than not having one.
