Lets see those Tool boxes

What are yall's opinions on the Harbor Freight toolboxes?

cheap, functional, not very strong.

I have this one at work and it's been great! For $165 there is no better deal!

Mine is the Roller Cabinet - 44" Red Rolling Tool Cabinet w/ 13 Drawers with the top box as you can see in my picture.
the only real addition i had to do to beef up one drawer was the large long one on the top, i riveted the brackets to the box its self inside to help keep the drawer from opening one side more than the other and get it in a bind.

but other than that its been a great super large tool box that houses all my mechanic tools in one organized place.

Here's mine, I need to orginize it better, but it does the job!! Don't mind the IH sticker. I was building a Scout before I saw the light and started building my Runner! I tried to peel it off but the paint was new when I put it on, so it's not coming off with out a ton of paint.

More of a picture of my dirt bike torn down, but the box is in the background. Got it as a college graduation present. Already full somehow haha.

Here is all the goodies inside. I am only almost two years into my automotive career so my collection is slowly growing. I just got my A1, A4, A5, and G1 ase so hopefully that can propel me into a better career opportunity.

If one doesn't need the capacity to roll one's tool chest around, and has a Northern Tool nearby, check out their Homak line of chests. Good value for the money.

All I have at the moment is two Task Force rolling carts. I thought I had a pic, but will attach it later.

Hand-me-down box from my late uncle. Filled with tools acquired on my own and almost ready for a larger box. This stays in my truck at all times for any purpose. I'm young and don't have much but the vast majority of work on my rig is done by me and I'm proud of it.

Congrats on the certifications and new tool box/tools man! Best of luck in making this into a successful career. It's a wild ride, keep your head up.

ive got that same gun. its a beast!

I've been following this thread and when I checked my email just now, I had an email from Harbor Freight and the subject said "Impressive Quality at an Incredible Price - Car Craft Magazine". I've never heard of that magazine, but I looked anyway.

Anyway, just thought it was interesting...

FWIW, Car Craft magazine has been around for 60 years, and is closely related to Hot Rod magazine.

I have been wanting a bigger tool box for a couple months and I have told the Tool man to keep an eye out for a trade in or heavily discounted. He stopped by yesterday and showed me some boxes that they had from trade in's and some dinged up ones.

I did not have the heart to tell him that I bought a box already and he was too late.

But on to top things off. He was selling used double bank bottom box for $2995. He had a new dinging up single bank box for the same price. :der:

this is why im still using a little POS homak box.

I cant justify the price for a larger box.
