After more than a year in the garage, we've thrown in the towel on Badwolf and are having our daughter's friend's dad look at the rig at his shop. We just can't get it to pass AZ emissions. I've heard all the "alcohol in the tank" and "register it upstate" ideas, but none make a whole lot of sense. I want this truck to be fixed right. It's going to college, and We want to get it up and running the correct way.
Anyway, a new battery (free replacement at O'Reilly) and a quick trip to the shop should give us an idea what we need. I think it's the Mass Airflow Sensor, and I have one at a buddy's house but I can't find it (he moved recently and 85% of his shop is still boxed up).
Also had a small intermittent coolant leak from the back of the engine, and I was scared that this would get worse on the way to the shop. Got the shop and there was no dripping - go figure.
We'll see what happens.
