Level Kit

I have a stock 2004 4runner SR5 that I am thinking about installing a leveling kit (3" front & 2" rear). I was wondering will my 4runner handle the same as stock?

Also will I need to buy a different jack because the stock jack will not be high enough? Any problems that I might run into after installing the leveling kit or is there anything else that I need to install with the kit?

I will not be installing it myself and I was also wondering if it will be expensive to have installed?

Thank you,

I suggest you read the lift sticky thread to get ideas...

If you alter your suspension it will not drive the same as "stock" because it is no longer stock... that being said, most on this forum alter their suspension to get an improved ride over "stock"... so I wouldn't let that deter you from lifting your 4runner...

You can spend anywhere from $250 (spacer lift) to $4500 (king or icon stage kits) to get roughly the same "look". Make no mistake though this price difference provides drastic performance differences on and offroad. You get what you pay for generally speaking with lift kits...

Install will depend on the shop you take it to, call around once you figure out what you want installed.

consider extended your rear sway bar links to accommodate your rear lift to maintain your rear sway bar geometry (if you plan to keep it installed).
check your brake lines once lift is installed at full articulation to make sure they can handle it or just replace them before you put on the lift to be proactive... up to you really...
