Leveling my 4runner

I have looked and searched, but can't find a satisfactory answer. So, here goes:

I want to level my stock '03 4runner. A friend of mine advised me to get a 2" front lift kit (2003-2009 Toyota 4-Runner 2WD/4WD - Front Lift Kit - Protune Suspension). But, in doing more research after finally pulling the trigger and making the purchase, I have found that most lift kits are sold as 2/1, etc.

So, my question here is, if I want my truck to truly be 'level' do I also need to purchase a 1" lift kit for the rear? (2003-2009 Toyota 4-Runner 2WD/4WD - Rear Lift Kit - Protune Suspension)

But, the problem is I already made the purchase of the front 2" kit. I am concerned that once I get it on, the back will be too low and will need to purchase the additional 1" kit. I'd rather do it all at once, if that's the case.

It should sit level with that setup. I have the Toy-tec 3/2 spacer kit on mine now and it sits perfectly level. Now I didn't put a tape on it or anything, thats just me looking at it. I also carry 200lbs or so of gear for work in mine everyday day for work and it doesnt seem to sag even from that. I think youll be be happy with it, just my 2 cents

Yes, to take the rake out of the vehicle I would raise the front 1" more than the rear. I would install the kit you have and see if its what you want (i think you'll be happy). If you think the rear needs to come up more you can always add a trim packer from OME.

Quick question: how do you like your Pioneer 4100 NEX head unit?

The unit is really cool and has lots of cool features! I love google maps for navigation! I have however never had a bigger nightmare in my life. Its not the units fault though. I have a buddy who is (still) helping me get everything going on it. We never got the backup camera to work, I think its a bad camera. I ran bolt through the wire to mic and now I have ordered two mics that are supposed to work and the jack size is wrong. My buddy couldn't get the dimmer to work, turns out he hooked it up wrong. I took it to a local stereo shop and they hooked up the dimmer correctly but a few things got stolen out of my trunk in the process. Honestly its a cool unit, I just need to go to the city and have everything installed on it. Its not the units fault and everything works, it can be tough to see the screen though in direct sunlight, especially if you have shades on though.

I got the 2/1 kit from Jason at Burtman. I'm happy with how it came out. Of course, the 18 year old inside of me wants to go bigger now.

Now that I've been thinking about it and have made the leap to go to 2/1. I will need to start thinking about tires.

I probably have 50% or so tread life left on the tires I have. So, what size tires can I comfortably fit with the 2/1 lift?
