LFD Offroad Ruggedized Crossbars

I have a 2010 Trail and I am 100% set on these however the current 5th gen edition no longer fits the early Trail model. Anyone have ideas for an alternative or solution?

Have you confirmed if these will fit our 2010 Trails? Last I checked with LFD they would not. If that’s changed though I would be stoked!

The above website shows three different types. Two for the 2014+ (steel and aluminum) and then one for the trail addition.

Well hot damn! I had emailed them back in May, they said they no longer made them but looks like that has changed! I’m in. Thanks for the help there.
May be resurrecting an old thread, but I've had three on for just over a week now and there is definitely a noticeable noise once i get about 50 MPH. I do have them mounted fore and aft of the marked "to reduce wind noise" points on my stock rack. I've got a fourth coming and a wind fairing, so we'll see how it sounds once I get the wind faring on. One of the bars did have a little rub/chip in the powder coating, so we'll see how that does in the SoCal climate.

Good info regarding the noise. Since you said you have 3, I wonder if it’s the one in the middle causing the noise since it would be higher than the others because of the slight arc in the middle?
For the chip/wear area you mentioned, you should just use some black auto touch up paint, Rustoleum, or whatever enamel you have to touch up that spot before it rusts (which it will, even in CA).
just sanded it down and hit it with some spray pain earlier this week. looks just fine now. we will see how long it lasts.

Hey Slider76, did the LFD fairing eliminate the noise? Thinking about getting a pair of these and wind fairing but want no noise (if possible).

I had the newer LFD bars on the OEM rack and they definitely make noise at about 70mph in the factory quietest position. If you look at the bars they have holes at the front and on top and it I think its this that makes the noise, air going in the front and out the top like a whistle. I ended up buying the spoiler and with that on there is no noise at all.

I'm about to pull the trigger on these. I think I may go with the wide bars just for easier mounting of things like Rotopax.
I have them on my LFD bars. Standard mounting hardware and it mounts up no problem. I use my ski racks for surf fishing rods and the only issue with the crossbar and rack combo is some of the bigger reels will hit the roof (I had the same issue with the OEM bars—LFD bars are far better either way).
This is great to hear. I'm having trouble visually thinking how these will mount. Any chance you could post a photo when you get a chance of how the ski racks mounted up onto the cross bars.
How hard is it to take them on and off? I plan to remove after ski season so that I can throw camping gear on the roof. Hopefully will buy these cross bars soon. I think they are an awesome option.

thanks man. Greatly appreciated. That's the style of racks I have too, but one is broken so I was looking at new ones from Thule this winter. I don't have those same mounting brackets as my old truck had the fat mouth ones from thule. I'll have to check with them which type of mounting feet the new racks come with from them. Really appreciate this.

I'm asking $75 a piece and will ship in the mainland US for free. Let me know!

EDIT 2: If attached to stock side rails, you'll want this hardware kit: LFD Off Road - Hardware Pack - Stock side rails
My kit only came with carriage bolts, not t-nuts, because of the LFD Rails.
