License Plate light wire in trailer harness help.

I don't have a meter to check wiring so i need a little help. I had to relocate my license plate on my new rear bumper and need to wire my license plate lights. It will be easier (shorter distance) to wire them from the trailer plug. I just need to identify which wire is for the lights.

Bobby [MENTION=47269]Darklight[/MENTION] i know you have done it but just in case you couldn't remember i wanted to put it out there for the rest. I got a couple of coiled phone cords off eBay and my led tag bolts today so i am ready to rock.

If anybody could help me with that I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Yo Morris, I tapped into the brake light on the passenger side. Used the green wire and a t tap. This is the parking light wire seen below. You can go through the body using one of the many plugged holes. Also seen below.

Perfect! For some reason I was thinking you had connected it through the trailer connection. This will be easier. Thanks man!

Bobby, did you just ground the black wire?

i think the white black is the ground, you may want to peel off some sheathing. i know red yellow is reverse.

You can see the black ground attached in the picture on the bolt just under the wiring for the taillight. I had to scrap the surface a little before I attached it.

I am in need of some help doing this and pardon me but I hate electrical and this is severely pissing me off. I swear I clamped the wire connections good and nothing is trying to slide out of place. I was able to fit a tap for both the green wire and the grounding wire but no luck!!!

Spent two hours in 17 degree weather trying to get it done but just gave up:frusty:
