License Plate Lights not working

Hello, I did an interior light swap in my 2017 4Runner with the VLEDs. I could not get the map light bulbs out so I replaced the license plate bulbs instead. But they would not work. I tried all options. I put the stock ones back in and they do not work either. I am at a loss now and cannot figure out what went wrong. Could it be connected to the interior bulb swap? Please advise. Thanks.

Silly question maybe, are you "sure" the lic plate bulbs worked before you tried to swap? :shrug:

Do all lights on the interior work now?

Check lic plate bulb with a known good bulb, if that's a no go, check fuses.

Did you try rotating it 180* like you would flip a USB plug upside down? Unlike incandescent bulbs, most LED bulbs have polarity and need to be installed a certain direction.

The license plate bulb socket is not symmetrical and the bulbs will only function when inserted a specific direction... seems unlikely that you happened to install each of the bulbs backwards, but its worth noting.

If that isnt the issue, I would definitely check fuses as a next step

The cooler color temp looks more modern. You can always choose a bulb with lower output.
