You have seen his rig in real life correct? How do the tall and skinnys look?

I thought I had myself talked into it and now I am not sure.

Nitto Terra Grapplers P 265 70R17 on stock rims

I've had great luck with Nittos on several other vehicles so when it was time for new meats on the T4R I didn't hesitate. These were a bargain on TireBuyer.com (and since the 265/70R17 size was actually cheaper than stock--about 150 per tire for this size--going up a size was a no-brainer) and I had them mounted up locally.

Per forum mentoring, I'm also running 1.25 inch Spidertrax spacers to help fill out the wheel wells.

Going up from the stock 265/65R17 increases the sidewall about 1/2 inch. Minor rubbing on front wheel well and mud flap, I did the recommended adjustments and I'm ready to roll. The tires are quieter than stock and hold the road well, I'm a happy camper!

...yanked the front flaps and running boards too.

Here it is after the basic stuff is done. Daystar 3/2 lift spacers with FJ coils all around, FJ Bilsteins up front from a 2013 FJ (requires some minor grinding on the bushing, super easy). Tires are 265/70R17. Rides firmer than stock, but it is not harsh, very enjoyable and capable, handles weight and/or trailer very nicely. The rear shocks are Skyjacker Nitros, FJ80 application, perfect fit and they do not limit dowward extension. I am very pleased with it.

Anyone seen these wheels?

Just bought this '03 SR5 v8 4runner. I have never seen these wheels on a 4runner. They look like FJC wheels but are 16". Anyone seen these before? Car was one owner, and I dont think they modified it at all.

Texas/Florida tank aka the armadillo

Friends here in Florida call it the armadillo due to line-x body. Women at the beach bars call it the sandpaper truck. I'm rambling. Started with cornfed 3/2. Liked it but my struts were worn therefore didn't get much lift. Current setup, toytec/radflo coil over components, toytec bl. XREAS delete. Bilstein rears. Runner rides great. Coil overs made a night and day difference from cornfed with factory setup underneath. Gotta say though, Jason Burtman is a cool cat.
