Along with many others, I too have gone the FJ Springs, Leveling Spacer route. What a difference in ride...I LOVE IT!

I opted for the Hankook Dynapro ATM's in 255/75/17 but the only thing I didn't like is that the raised letters weren't white. So, I painted the letters. Don't know how long it will last, but I love the look! (and I don't mind touching up if needed...I got a lot of paint leftover LOL)

Looks great! Love those sport editions. I too went with FJC springs and Hankook dynapro at's. I originally ordered hankooks in that size. Two weeks went by and I lifted the 4runner and went in for my new tires that were supposed to be in. Still not in. So I still got the 'kooks just in a 265/70/17 variety. Real happy with them so far. Can't wait for some snow to try them out.

Any updates on how these tires are in the snow/ice? I've been thinking about getting them for awhile, waiting for the stock tires to die. Gonna be taking some trips to Utah (snowboarding) just wanna make sure they will be ok. I also like the duratracs, but the price is better for the Hankooks.

We haven't had any snow/ice in Northern Va as of yet.

But I did get a F_#$ing screw in the passenger rear tire when it had less than 100 miles. What a pita that was to plug (It was in the thickest part of the tread)

A few weeks ago we got around 2" of snow. Not much but there was some ice underneath. The tires did great. I had to make it break loose to lose traction. Haven't had the chance (or the snow) to get them in some deep stuff yet. Actually, I haven't had the chance to do anything but drive the hiway to and from work. They do good at that too.

I have never seen Hankooks on the West coast, or did I just miss them? Without the Silent Armor, is this the next best chioce?

I haven't done the number crunching to determine the result yet. But I think it has remained about the same. If I get time between playing/studying this weekend I'll work out the numbers and let you know.

Will a V8 be level (BACK TO FRONT) with just the FJ springs installled and KYB GR2 shocks all around? BTW-how many miles were on these X-Reas systems at replacement?

IF you include the 1/2 leveling spacer then yes...

I don't have XREAS but most of the leaks seem to show up between the high 60k though low 100k range.

The "big Snow" missed us and went north to NY, but we did get a little of the real slippery stuff, I am happy to say the tires worked excellent. I had to try to break them loose.

Mileage wise I haven't figured out or compensated for the bigger tires, but with the OEM tires the comp was reading between 16 to 18, now it is reading between 14 to 16. (But I am filling up gas about the same interval as I used to.)

That does help alot, thanks. Alot of others say with bigger tires the computer is almost spot on. Which makes sense to me. I have a/t stock size and have the same comp reading as you did stock size. That reading was actually 2MPG off. So hopefully if the comp is acurate now with larger tires then you prob didnt loose any MPG. If you ever get the chance to calculate can you?

I have absolutely no regrets with this Tire and Size. I really love them.

During the "Madness" of our last snowfall (It took me 7 hrs to get home...I only live 13 miles from work). I never once got stuck. I was going up hill swerving around people that were stuck to the left and right of me. This included fwd cars, a metro Bus, and a 15 person passenger van. It was like I was on a Hollywood movie set. I was looking around for the camera so I could say "Hey Mom look at me...I'm on TV".

I ended up taking all local roads to get home and even drove on some side streets that didn't get plowed, no worries what so ever.

In terms of computing mileage...I completely forgot to figure it out. I do have everything logged so it is just a matter of me getting my lazy but to the truck and breaking out the calculator (go figure I am in my Camaro today). But the frequency I am filling up gas leads me to believe I am getting between 14-16mpg.

I don't notice any rubbing, therefore I never gave any thought to getting wheel spacers.

Although...If someone is getting rid of them for cheap, I may pick them up. (I don't HAVE to HAVE them.)
