Looking to do lift and UCAs / ball joints ('99 SR5)in probably late June / early July and wondering if there's any willing victi...volunteers who have the space, tools and know-how to show a noob yotamaster the way and the light??

Would also be looking for a welder to do rock rails and front bumper not too long thereafter...

Did you get this done? If not I'd join the party in terms of looking for some assistance from someone who has done a suspension install before (and reservoir attachments). Debating whether I want to wait and do BL at the same time (which I don't need at the moment, and would still have to order).

Did you get this done? If not I'd join the party in terms of looking for some assistance from someone who has done a suspension install before (and reservoir attachments). Debating whether I want to wait and do BL at the same time (which I don't need at the moment, and would still have to order).

Miah-Thanks for the offer. I definitely need help-I have not done suspension (or anything like it) before. I'm free Friday this week, probably could take a day off some other time this week if it worked better for you. Not sure beyond that as I've got some travel for work coming up.

I still need to get the springs mounted on the shocks-I can probably stop by Demello's at some point to get that done though (tried to that today but it was too late). I'm 95% certain I have everything else I need part-wise. I guess I can take pics of everything I've got and you can tell me if I'm missing anything?

Also, besides beer (got a preference?) what else is this going to cost me? (Feel free to PM if you prefer).

Check out wheelers off-road. Hit up Kelly with a list of parts and ask for a quote. A lot cheaper than what is shown on the website. Also reference t4r or Tacoma world forum for the discount. I got bils 6112/5160 and TC uca for a great deal. Cheaper than total automotive with their t4r disc.

So, I have to ask, what has your research led you towards?

I've ended up with Fox shocks, with reservoirs and their dual speed compression adjusters. I was torn between Fox and King, but the dsc's looked nicer than the king adjusters, and the build seemed a tiny bit better ( Fox vs King 2.0 Coilover Comparison | AccuTune Off-Road Fox Vs. King). Can't go wrong with either though I'd suppose.

There are a lot of good options out there though... I'm still wondering if I shouldn't have looked closer at the ome BP-51s, or the bilstein 8112s or the like.

I was going to do king extended travel but people kept messaging me issues with kings. Icons don't seem to be my style. Think I may cheap out and get a boss 2.5 coilovers from the performAnce series with icon spring and maybe boss 2.0 in the rear. The kings look slick, I just got spooked with the leakage and maintenance concerns.

Where you all pick up your suspension from? If I get mine in time, I would be down for a build party. I got damn good scotch and absynthe to contribute along with manual labor.

Well, I've been looking towards Radflo. I like to straighten out washboards, play in mud and be able to deal with rutted fire roads. If anyone has feedback with Radflo or Sonroan Steel, I'm all ears...

I've been running a sonoran steel kit and been pretty happy with it. That said, I'd suggest going better than the 5100s if your budget allows. It's funny, because if you look at forum posts from a decade or so ago, everyone was talking about how great they were-and now they're really one of the least regarded options. No big deal if you ran those for a few years to begin with though in my opinion. Oh, also, the 5100 is the line-you can get the Tundra, FJC, Tacoma or 4runner ones-all a little different depending on what you want.

I've no experience with radflo, so no help there. Oh, I do have a pair of Fox 2.0s that came off the rear of a tacoma that could be for sale if you (or anyone) wants them. I also have eibach and king 600lb springs (13 or 14 inch-can't remember).

Where are you at in So Cal? I'm going to be helping some Tacoma guys this Saturday do some work to their rigs at my house in Anaheim.

Edit: All good now. Definitely props to Tiff at Demello's for being so accommodating and helpful every time I call them, and Cy who put these together for me today.
