Lift Kit Recommendations/Guidance

Hi Guys

Newbie here. I’d like to explore getting a minor lift to my 2014 Limited. Maybe 3”. No serious offroading, mostly reasonably well-maintained truck and service trails, but I would like to get a little bit more ground clearance. It’s mostly used as a on-road vehicle, so I would like to avoid compromising the ride too much.

Can anyone offer recommendations as to which kits I might target for consideration? It’s been a little difficult to determine which kits would fit. It appears the Revtek 3 is the one that the Dealer would install, but not sure if there are better options. I understand the Toytec kits are well respected but there seem to be a lot of different options. I would not install this myself, but want to research some options before I speak to a shop.

From a budget standpoint I don’t want to over-pay based on my reasonably limited needs, but I would rather pay to do it right than do it over.
Any guidance or recommendations you could offer would be great! Thank you.

Welcome to the forum. There are already tons of threads and posts about lifting a limited around here. I'd suggest doing a search for stuff like Revtek, Daystar, etc.

If you are lifting an LE, and you want to keep the XREAS intact, you really are only limited to spacer lifts, so your choices are only between a couple brands of spacers (which all pretty much do the same thing).

I would just find the cheapest decent brand spacer and get that one (I've heard the name Daystar thrown around here a lot as a great value brand spacer), but at the same time I would try not to get too greedy with the height increase because you run more risk of bottoming/topping out your XREAS shocks and killing them off the higher up you go.

I'm looking to do same OP, except mine is SR5. I'm probably going with the Toyotec spacers - $219 if choose the 3" kit with the 2.5" aluminum spacers in front. Link is below. Says it is compatible with XREAS.

I'm building my Trail as an overlanding rig & I'm only bumping the suspension up 1" to not devastate range & on-road performance. I got the ToyTec to deal with the future weight of a front bumper & winch, & will be adding the rears as the build progresses & weight increases. The only clearance increase I'll get is if I move up to a 275 or 285 tire. Check out this tire guide by [MENTION=66316]1engineer[/MENTION]

Suspension gives you the room for tires, tires give you the clearance. Good luck & welcome.
