i had the front coils installed by a shop and they might have adjusted the shocks up too but im not sure. i like it alot.

I dont think 285s would fit... and i would have to regear. i might need new rear shocks because these are stock length bilsteins... what are my options?

Looks like we have similiar set up, I have front ICON coilover, rear OEM 890 w/ adj bilsteins & diff drop with zero clearance/rub issue with the 285's. It's set at 2.5" lift with room to go higher if needed. Your rig should have no rubbing problems with 285 rubber, on the other hand the 2.7L may stuggle at bit. Good luck with your build it looks great.

I don't think a 3RZ would appreciate 285s, my old Tacoma had the 3RZ with 33x10.5s and it struggled a little before I re-geared it.

Yeah .......... I held off as long as I could, lol. It's a real clean install, plenty of room. We got together yesterday to install winch, URD short throw and brakes. Took him about 1.5 hours for all. He made it all look easy, I'm sure i was more in the way than helpful. But I managed to hand him a tool and open the box. lol. Scott will have the Bushwacker Flares and sport hood ready for install soon. Looking at sliders, I'm hoping Jim design comes out soon, we also like Stubbs.

Marcel.....your 4runner is looking good, there are many nice looking and very capable 2wd runners here. You are well on your way, congrats.

and i agree the 2.7L is sluggish with 32s!

Good looking lift Marcel-lots of choices for those rear end shocks. With your ride being 2WD I'd point you towards some replacement OEM Tokicos but others may steer you towards Old Man Emu or others.

Not sure there is a "bad" choice out there. Just good, better and best.

OEM Tokicos for the 4Runner will work fine with Old Man Emu 890 coils.

The Land Cruiser shocks are a lot longer (taller) and with extreme flex or droop could cause the springs to unseat from their perches.
