so since i got my 4runner ive wanted a lift, 3 inches all around....problem is is the toytec lift kit i want is a little over a grand,( i want the coilovers!)
so to make things a little eisier on me i want to order the rear first and install the rear lift and a few months later order and install the front kit....bad idea?

No, it's a great idea! I did the same thing, I kept the stock shocks and put some OME891 coils in the rear and 1" spacer in the front so I had roughly 1" of rake. Later I upgraded the coilovers and the shocks.

I am running a 3" lift, OME891s in the rear with Tundra Bilstein 5100s front and rear, and Toytec Eibach coils in the front. I put it on myself and assembled the coilovers myself. The overall price was around $700 ($160 for Eibachs, $360 for all shocks, and like $200 or whatever for the 891s).

It will look goofy, but there's no real harm to doing it that way. Or you could buy the parts you can afford now, and let them sit in the garage until you're ready to buy the whole package. Or like snivilous, you could just run spacers for a while and sell them when you're done with them.

k cool yea i have a hard time saveing large amounts of money sometimes,so ill prob just lift the rear first and within a month or two get the front coilovers....anybody have any pics of a 3 inch rear lift and the front stock?

I'm in the same position so I ordered the 3" lift kit by Rough Country for $239 shipped from here

1996-2002 Toyota 4wd 4-Runner 3 Suspension - 771.20 | $249.95

it comes with rear 3" lift springs and new shocks for the rear and a spacer up front I will then save up for front coilovers.

thats a really good idea....im prob just gonna get this for now and upgrade as i can, being this low to the ground is killing me....do you have it installed? hows the ride?

should get it in the mail Wednesday as well as my new tires. I also ordered a diff drop on eBay for $17.

atxrunner wow, $249! can you let us know how the RC lift rides when it's installed?! I'm interested.

i'll make an install and review thread for this lift kit since i cant find anyone else running it (i think its new).

I'm running it. Partially lol. I have the rear coils. But instead of the n2.0 shocks, I'm running the nitro 9000s. I'm running a different spacer though. Same design just in 2 inch instead of 3 in the front. Overall the coils feel pretty nice. Close to stock ride. A little rougher maybe. Could just be my shocks though. It's a good lift for looks and bigger tires, I wouldn't wheel it too hard though. I've heard of these coils breaking before. (Not on a runner, just RC in general)
