Lift Question????

lightrunner

I know, I know....I have a 2.5 spacer lift on my 01' 4runner. At least its Skyjacker. The rear is sagging and I want to replace the stock rear springs and spacers. I heard there are some springs that add lift and fix the sag. Just doing the rear at this time and keeping the lift so I need to know which coils I need. Any ideas??? Planning on running 33s. Soon Hopefully.

Thanks in advance for the advice

Lift FAQs for lift questions!

You need to give a lot more information before we can help.

How much lift do you want?
Do you plan on running a rear bumper?
Do you plan on running a tire carrier?
Do you plan on carrying extra weight?
How about a sleeping platform?
Towing anything?

These need to be taken into consideration before you should purchase rear springs. With more weight, rear spring will start to sag. Figure out your long term goals, and spend the money once.

Right now it has only the 2.5 spacer lift. I want just enough lift to run 33s without any rub. I would like to match the front height or have a very small amout of rake in the rear. I am going to change the front at some point but have to do this in different phases. I will get the diff drop, the 1" bodylift and the coilovers for the front hopefully sooner than later. I plan on keeping the bumper, I am not going to have a sleep platform or a tire carrier but I would like to go with the stouter spring. hope this answers your questions. Thanks again!

I would just go with a 3" spring then. The 3" spring will sag some over time, but should level out nicely with the 2-1/2" in the front. Go with some OME 890's, and you should be good.

Thankya. I had that on my mind but was unsure about the height with spacers still in the front. Are the OME 891s the stouter spring with the same height?

Yeah, but unless you're running extra weight I wouldn't use them. I have them on mine with around 170lbs in the rear, and they sag A LOT! A lot more than I though they would. I'll be switching to the SuperFlex springs next month.

so the stouter 891 springs sag more than the 890s? Interesting. Thanks for that info. I always have a bunch of stuff in mine too. In your opinion where is the best place to bnuy the 890s?

I got mine from Toytec. Just google it for the cheapest price.
