Lift question

I'm going to use the adjustable Bilstein's that say they life the front end by 2.25" max.

If I go the full 2.25" will I need to lift the rear also to keep it level?

I'm thinking I need a 1" rear lift but I want to keep it fairly level. Would a 2" be too much?

Any input anyone has on this would be appreciated.

This is entirely up to you. But considering that at stock, the back end is 1" higher than the front. If you we're to lift the front end by 2 and something ", then yes, you may want to consider lifting the back just a wee bit.

:iagree: 1" in the back should give you very close to level. Cornfed 2/1 spacer lifts are very popular. If you search it you'll find lots of pics with the 2/1 lift. The 2/1 looks like there's a very slight rake to it. Your 2.25"/1" should be dead level I would think.

I just lifted my 4runner an inch in the front and it looks way better but the rear is still one inch higher then the front. With 255/75/17 BFG mud terrains and the one inch lift up front from the pavement to the front fender is 35.5 and the rear is 36.5 but it actually looks pretty level if you do decide lift the front 2 inches I would definately raise the rear at least an inch. Before the lift mine was 36.5 rear and 34.5 in the front so in theory you could do just 2 inches in the front but you might look at little front high usually people just do one inch up front to level it out there is cheaper ways than those pricey bilsten's to raise the front anyway just my 2 cents hope this helps

i just added the toytec adj. coilovers to the front- set them at 1.5 in. & to me it looks perfect theres still a noticable - 1in. difference. for some reason the rear on my 06 had about 2 & 3/4 difference. i did get matching rear shocks also. the new toytecs use eibach springs with bilstien struts. the ride is just what i was looking for .

In 6 months when I come back from the desert I am going to get new springs shocks downey skidplate and possibly a shrockworks sliders and bumper. The topplate spacer is all my wife would let me get for now
