Lift Question

Alright so here is the deal. I have a 03 2wd SR5 with the stock 16" rims. I have decided to go with the daystar 2.5/1.5 lift and spidertrax 1.25" wheel spacers. After looking for hours on the lift pics and setup thread this was the setup that I could afford and got the look i wanted. I gotta give a big thanks to all who have posted there that thread was really helpful.

So here is what Im confused about....

After this lift I can suppossedly run 32" tires. After doing some reading 32" tires are 265's (correct me if Im wrong here please!). Well I already have 265/70/16's . I want something that is going to fill out the wheel well really well.

Im worried 265/70/16's will look tiny on my 4runner after the lift.

1.) Does anyone have any experience with running the 16" wheels and the largest size you can go with?

2.) Would 17" rims make that much of a difference? (as far as looks and feeling out the wheel well)

Thanks in advance for any input!

your current tires are 30.6''. If you keep your 16'''s 275/75/16's would give you 32.2''. not sure if that size exists or how many brands offer it. 17'' options are prolly the most common/popular as far as wheel and tire options go. Look at places like tirerack.com to check out specs/options/prices

I'd install the lift and spacers and see how it looks, you are gonna have to do trimming anyways. Larger teh wheel/tire, more trimming you'll have to do.

A set of 265/75/16 is the same width as your 70's but an inch taller at 31.7, roughly. If you really want to fill the wheel wells out, look at a set of 285/75/16's. :thumb3: They are comparable to a 33x11.5. You will have to do some trimming if you go with the 285's though. If i were you, i would put the money for the 17's towards something else and keep the 16's.

Thanks for the info guys! Id like to go with the 285/75/16's ... But I was wondering if there would be a big difference in the ride? and how much trimming would I have to do?
