Lift Suggestion

I'll be honest, I don't do much off roading and the when I do its nothing crazy. I live in Houston and we have been hit with a rash of floods over the past couple of years and especially this year with Hurricane Harvey. So I'm looking for a quick and dirty ($400 budget) 3 inch lift for my 2018 TRD Off Road to get me through high waters. Something with a decent level of ride comfort. I plan on putting 285/70/17s on there if possible.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I know it may be a lot to ask, but thanks for the help in advance.

What's the saying? You can have two of three, pick what you want: quick, cheap, good.

But for $400, you may not be able to play this game.
 
5100's set at 2.5 in the front with a 1.5 cornfed spacer in back.

That's really about your only option for that price range that will be decent.

Plus the cost of alignment. Add labor if you don't do the work yourself.
 
A 3 inch lift will do nothing for you if we ever experience another flood like harvey.. just saying. However, you'll def want to extend your rear diff and locker breathers. If your goal is to clear 285s, the best budget lift imo are the Bilstein 5100s.

In the end it doesn't matter what you get. The reality is the stock suspension is more than be adequate for whatever trails you visit. Lift the vehicle because you want to and then look for a system that fits your budget. I just installed an Icon system because I wanted to and customizing the vehicle is fun but, again, the stock suspension would have been just fine.
 
yea for harvey you would need to run 35's and more than 3 inches of lift...For your budget, the 5100s will be perfect for you. 3 inch lift and 285s.

I'd go this route, has plenty of ground clearance for those Houston roads!!


Or I can get you in a 2.5" suspension for about $800
