Lifter noise and lower ball joint replacment

Hey guys! So, I purchased a 1995 SR5 with 125k on the clock. Took it to a shop and told them to find anything wrong with it. Only needed front brakes, shocks and an oil change. I then placed new tires on her. Runs like a champ.

After the shocks were done I started to get a creaking noise from the front driver side. Figured out it was the lower ball joint. I see many options on Ebay and amazon ranging from OEM to cheap after market. This is made by Proforged and comes with a 1,000,000 mile warranty. Sounds like a marketing ploy but I wanted to see if anyone has used them before or if anyone has a recommendation for another brand.

Also, about 500 miles ago a lifter started to get loud. I performed an engine flush. Replaced oil with a good high milage oil and a royal purple filter. Noise still exists. I put a can of BG MOA into the oil only 10 miles ago. Any thing else I can try to quite down the lifter?

RE the LBJs, the suspension design differences on the 2nd gens make them unlikely to have a catastrophic failure as has been documented with 3rd gens etc. They still should be proactively replaced, the stakes are somewhat lower.

However, a data point for those looking to replace their LBJs, at least on the 2nd gens: I replaced them on my 1993 with OEM Toyota ones. Spendy, but they're solid. FWIW the autozone LBJs listed for the 2nd gens (part number FA2054) DO NOT FIT. The bolt hole pattern / template on that LBJ for the four bolts into the bottom of the steering knuckle do NOT match the knuckle. They don't line up. So don't waste your time
