lifts under 800 bilstein 5100/ome/ironman

well just a little background i have a 08 4runner sport with xreas that's getting tired. i have a 2011 fj that i use as my offroad machine, i use my 08 4runner as my patrol vehicle.

so i am planing on lifting my 4runner since just changing the shocks seems lame to me :lol:
but i want to try and keep it on the cheap since i want to spend the money on the fj lift.

so i have narrowed it down to these 3 and their all at or around $800
bilstein 5100 eibach/toytec springs front and rear
ome
or the ironman 4x4 no so well known lift Ironman 4x4 - FJ Cruiser Suspension - Metal Tech 4x4

handling on road is very important, so any feedback you might have about any of this would be appreciated

Hard to go wrong with 5100s,, ome front coils, and Toytec rear coils. On the other hand, a lot of people run the stock fj suspension, it's an improvement over the stock 4 runner suspension. Have you considered just using that? the bilstein fj shocks are preferred, so if you don't gave those, you can do 5100s and use the stock fj springs.

If you use the fj shocks, just a little modification will need to be made for them to fit.

I wish I could have taken the fj springs from my fj, but from what I have read on the Internet 10+ fj coils are different. Is their any truth to this

Also why would you choose the ome front springs over the eibach front springs?
I found a solid deal of 340 shipped on the bilstein 5100. Now just trying to decide on the spring combo

More people use ome, don't know as much about the eibachs. Have you already ordered the shocks? If not, check out ajusa.com, should be able to get them for under $300 with a coupon. The newer fj coils are different, but still a direct swap. It's only the shocks that won't fit without modification.

I am running 2011 FJ springs on my 03 runner (the silver one) works great.

Outrider Offroad sells Iron Man and from what I understand they have great prices. I want to say around 600 still.

For tOy2g do you still get brake dive? Decided on the toy tec rear springs what's a good combo for the front?

From what I can tell, it looks like those eibach coils are between the ome medium and heavy duty in terms of stiffness. I've got the ome medium front coils, I really wouldn't want anything stiffer than that unless I was adding weight such as bumpers.

The iron man kit is new to me, I'm not aware of anyone using it, so can't really offer any advice there.

Yea like I said in the other thread the ironman suspension is a gamble, they have been around for 40 years but are just now stateside. The price seems to good to be true :lol: and I need them to handle good onroad.
