Light Bulbs

Hey Guys,

99 4 Runner, Limited.

Been working on this for going on 2 hours. Almost an hour at Toyota parts desk, they couldn't find the bulb I need on computer, and suggested I would have to buy the whole assembly, out of the question, just to get the bulb.

After an hour of searching through the forums, I have eliminated the following part numbers: All start with 81850 - 35020, 35030, 35040, 35050.

In one forum I heard someone call it a "peanut bulb".

Attached are 2 pics.

The first is a pocket full of bulbs a guy had on a prior post. It' the first bulb on the left. Long penis shaped.....lol, with a green tip.

The second pic, at the top of the panel, between Rear Window Defrost and ECT, and one behind the up/down rear window control. I need the long one.

I got them mixed up, don't know which one goes where, but I need the long one.

ANY IDEAS OR PART #'s???

End this search for me guys!! THANKS A MILLION!

I just ordered the two bulbs for the ECT button and the rear window control from a local dealer. I will post up the part numbers off the invoice when I get home from work. I can't promise they are the correct ones for yours but they seem to be the right ones for mine, 2000 SR5.

I would try a new dealer. Took about 10 min to find the correct bulbs in person. Over the phone they had no clue what to order. You can also have them search by your VIN number to narrow it down.

I assume your looking for the bulb in the rear window switch?
I went through the same thing with the dealer. You have to buy the whole switch from Toyota the bulb is NOT serviced separately!!

You can read through this thread for any info you might need
Rear window bulb

What I did was buy one of these bulbs From these guys Make sure you get the 3mm size of the bulb and green, if your staying with the factory color. It's a different shade of green but not bad to look at.
