Light On Climate Control Cluster Went Out.......

I took it apart and it looks like i can replace that 5 something dollar bulb. .. and it wasn't that hard to take apart either

You will have to help the parts man to locate the correct bulb. They had pulled up the wrong schematic, and was trying to order me a bulb for the speedo or tach. I had to remind them it was above the console.

You'd better take your old bulb in, because on a 2003 in that climate control panel there are several different bulbs, with many looking slightly different.

I thought the one they gave me was incorrect because it fit so hard. But finally it went in, and it fixed the problem.

So glad for this forum!

And I realized that though I thought I was easy on the 2003, someone in maintenance forum said to change the transmission fluid anyway, even though the book says I didn't have to. After almost 100,00 miles, sad to say the transmission fluid looked pretty dark. I should have changed it earlier, though it runs great.

Lift the small black tray to remove.

Remove 10mm screw

Lift temp gauge cluster up and out. Needs to be pushed up. Once you get it out, you'll see the small guides...

Thanks OP. I busted the middle light bulb while converting to a scion nav.

Thought I did the install wrong until I found this thread. Phew!
