Lighter Wheels to Offset Heavy Tires?

Aren't the FX FN Pro wheels around 23 lbs as well? I just remember a thread discussing their difference from the TRD Pro wheels. Just a thought.

This is my dilemma as well. I cannot decide between 255/75/17 Cooper AT3 4s at 39 lbs. or 275/70/17 Falken Wildpeaks at 57lbs. Falkens look better, but I bet the Coopers perform much better 90% of the time due to their much lighter weight. Both are 32" tires.

My TRD ORP wheels were 29 lbs. Weighed with 2 different scales. I guess the black paint caused the weight to go up 1.5 lbs?

So I went with SCS Ray-10s at 24.5 lbs. So I was able to trim 4.5 lbs. Then I chose C rated 285/70R17 KO2s at 51.5 lbs as opposed to E rated at 58 lbs. So stock Duratrac's were 39lbs (265/70R17) so I added 12.5 lbs. So 12.5 - 4.5 = an acceptable 8 lbs per wheel.

I think wind is your biggest MPG hit if you have a lift. I just got 12.5 MPG driving into the "Cyclone Bomb" this weekend and then got 18 driving back the same route with relatively calm winds. Also MPGs go down significantly after crossing the 70 mph mark.
