Lighting / Electrical Incompetence

I am a complete idiot when it comes to electrical and wiring diagrams and my 85 has an issue thats starting to wear on me.

I always have to disconnect the battery when i turn the car off because my drivers side rear taillight (not the brake light) and the front passenger side yellow running light are always lit (Not the turn signal, but the light adjacent to the headlight). I would assume the problems are related.

Is this an issue with wiring, a short, a relay or what? Do y'all have any suggestions for where to start poking around for a solution?

This is really becoming a BIG PITA.

Dont be afraid. start at the light and trace the wire back to the relay, I bet you will eventually find something screwy. Trailer light improper wiring is a common cause of this.
