For that price, you may as well get an Ultra Gauge. They're only $60 after a rebate. They do the same for our 98s as a Scangauge, and have been proven to work well.

They don't read tranny temps. But in 96-98, the computer doesn't have a tranny temp gauge so it doesn't matter. Even a Scangauge 2 won't read tranny temps on those years.

Not to sway you either way, but the Ultragauge would be a far better deal. The scangauge 2 won't read anything more than the Ultra, and its almost 2x as much. Ultra has a better display as well IMO.

For a 98' I think the Ultra Gauge is better than the Scangauge , has a better display.
and for less than 1/2 the price its a no brainer.

As far as the Kiwi, looks like the Ultra Gauge is still a better option, $30 cheaper and appears that people like the UltraGauge much more in reviews.

I like mine, have no complaints about it at all.
