Limited and SR5 have the same suspension?

I haven't driven a new SR5, but considering the over 400 pound weight difference and the XREAS, I'd be very surprised if they both had the same feel and ride.
When I first drove the new 5G Limited, I thought it had a bit more body roll than my 4G Limited. Now that I've had it for a while, I think it's actually a little tighter. The ride might be a little bit choppier on some of our winter beaten roads here in Michigan, but I think it handles better than my 4G.
Anyway, I don't think I'd take the sales people's word on this one until I proved it for myself.
I test drove both. Like most test drives, the route was fairly short and on nicely paved roads near the dealer, so the differences where the suspension would shine were not encountered. I did notice a difference in the way the two vehicles felt while on the road. However, I would attribute those differences towards the feel of AWD vs. 2WD and not the difference between suspensions.

:lol: it's how it solid the 4Runner is because it's not built on the Tacoma chassis. I still find it amazing how little most sales rep know about the products their peddling.

Hello does anybody knows if there’s a difference in between a oem 2015 SR5 4x2 shocks vs 2020 4Runner trd 4x4?

To be fair, they can't. That's their first post. I do agree with you that a new thread should be started or some independent research done, but you have to comment a certain number of times before you can post

Compared to the SR5, the Limited is full time AWD, has the XREAS shocks, and another factor is it has 20" wheels so less tire sidewall than the other trims with 17's. The result is a firm, sometimes overly harsh ride on bad roads (Manitoba is the Michigan of the North, lol).
I found that switching from 20's to 17's made a big difference in ride quality with the extra sidewall helping to cushion things, but the XREAS is still a very firm ride.
Nope the dealer you spoke with is way off.
There are 4 different suspensions for the T4R
Limited has xreas as you mentioned
SR5, standard versions of the Off-road & Venture, and Current Trail Edition share the same suspension
KDSS is an option on Off Road and Venture Editions
TRD Pro has the TRD Fox Racing Setup

Looking in the parts lookup, there are 2 rear springs available, Limited and everything else. For front springs there are 3 options, Limited, Trail/Off-Road, and everything else.
For shocks, the are the XREAS found in the Limited's, the Fox's from the Pro's, and everything else uses a 3rd option.

Based on my test rides of sr5, TRD ORP, Limited, TRD PRO. Limited provides the best ride quality on regular paved roads.
SR5, Trail, TRD OR, TRD ORP all share same shocks and struts (Suspensions). The ride quality is ok. Many complain that 4Runner rides like a boat and has nose dive issues.
TRD ORP with KDSS reduces the body roll but does not necessary make the ride quality great on regular paved roads. KDSS makes a difference allowing the wheels drop further (articulation) to get the needed traction in off-road situations. It does help during turns on regular roads.
TRD PRO has fox shocks and they have linear valving and thereby provides best ride as speed increases on regular roads. At slow speeds they ride ok on paved roads. When Off-Roading they provide excellent ride ride quality.
I own a 2020 TRD ORP with KDSS. I upgraded my stock suspension with Bilstein 6112 (Front) and Bilstein 5160 (rear). Because of the upgrade and KDSS the ride quality is very similar to Limited. I am yet to take my 4Runner for off-roading and so cannot comment.

What was your motivation for replacing the shocks?

I did not like the ride. It was too soft for me. Also, did not like the nose dive. Upgrading shocks has considerably reduced the nose dive and I am happy about the ride quality.
Only reason I choose Bilstein 6112/5160 is because of budget limitations and also, the same shocks were there on pre 2019 TRD PRO.
In summary, replaced to improve ride quality.

I have leaking X-reas shocks on my 5G Limited. Too expensive to replace x-reas system, the dealer offers me an option to use Monroe 71371 shocks. I am wondering if I can use standard shocks forSR5, will it fit if I delete x-reas?
The reason I am asking for OEM parts is that my insurance company asked me did I modified my car? I told him I am going to use 3rd party shocks, but no function change (not really true as I delete x-reas), no lift. The lady kind of confirmed (but not solid) it SHOULD be ok. I heard somebody was denied to fix by insurance because not telling insurance it's been modified. This question has been raised since I am about to renew my insurance.

if you delete the XREAS you can install a standard set up, XREAS is not computer controlled. no lights or codes will be triggered. many people delete the XREAS when they leak and replace with third party like monroe or OEM. you are not modifying your vehicle for insurance purposes. modification for insurance purposes means alerting your vehicle from a factory state. you are not doing that. you are maintaining toyota factory suspension (going from XREAS to standard SR5 setup, both factory options on the 4runner). changing brand OEM to monroe is not modification as both setups retain the factory performance aspect of the vehicle, I would use the OEM parts though, tokico (I think that's the ones used, are pretty good)
adding a lift is modification, bigger tires, engine tuning, performance exhaust etc.
