Limited Navigation Ipod Interface questions - 5th Gen

I really just tried for the past hour (while in training hehe) to find an answer to my question(s). No success.

Questions/Issues:

1. When scrolling through Artist/Generes/Albums etc.. It auto selects the top selection as I scroll through the lists. any way to fix that so it doesn't auto select/ auto play.

2. Anyone been successful with using voice commands for the ipod? Only works for FM/AM radio stations for me.

3. Is it possible to leave the screen on Audio without it going back to the map screen within a few minutes?

I can't think of what else now, but those are the more important nuances.

They are a few threads on here talking about the iPod interface and none of them are complimentary. My suggestion would be to give up on it and just use the Bluetooth and navigate with the phone. You'll save yourself some frustration.

Come on man.. who the heck reads manuals now a days !!!

with all kidding asid,e I could not find these answers.. Unless im blind, which as happened in the past. Your telling me you've fixed at least one of these 3 issues?

1. No. (To learn more, reference your NAV owner's Manual, page 183.)

2. No.

3.Yes, go into setup - > general and turn off the "autoscreen change" (Reference: NAV owners manual, page 208)

I support Kingpin's response 500%. Using bluetooth is much faster, and allows much better control of your music (and playlists). Alternatively, the in-dash player does read MP3 CD's, you could always burn CD's. (Who does that anymore?).
