I just ordered a limited with third row seat, does anyone have any new model 4runner with a third row? Pics? How is the access...ect.

Looks like the 2nd row can slide fore and aft to make more or less legroom for the 3rd row. I wonder if you get more legroom w/ the 3rd row down and the middle row all the way back versus the fixed position of the 5 passenger model. The moonroof certainly affects the amount of perceived headroom in the middle row. It might be advantageous to be able to move the seat a little further back to create a little space between your face and the moonroof bulge.

what is the lead time you are looking at for your third row order?
My dealer said 6~9 months as all the 3rd rows have been earmarked for other regions.

ive seen probably 2 4runners posted on websites in philly area with 3rd row.
anyone know how accommodating the 3rd row would be for a toddler car seat?
Crawled around in one at the local dealer today. The pass through from the 2nd row on the passenger side is VERY narrow, and a bit tricky since the truck is a bit high off the ground. I'm about 6'0" 180 average/athletic build and I found it nearly impossible to get in and out without contorting my body into weird shapes and angles. I don't know how kids would be able to get in without help from an adult.
Once back there the space isn't horrible, headroom was a bit lacking for me, and you're sitting pretty much bolt upright, but I suppose I could stand a very short in town trip back there.
That said, I don't think I'd get the 3rd row for my 4Runner, I'll stick with the 5 passenger model.
Don't know if the 3rd row has all the LATCH stuff for child seats.

I need the third row for my wife to car pool youngsters. I waited for months for the 4runner to come out and was not happy when no third row seat models came in the first wave...my dealer made a trade for this unit.....blizzard pearl, nav, remote start...everything you can get......invoice price $44,553.......my price $39,736. Unit is supposed to hit port January 24th.

Why oh why is it difficult to get a blizzard limited with nav and 3rd row seat in PA-NJ area. Apparently dealer told me they roll off assembly line already assigned to individual dealer. In this day and age, i dont think its too difficult for a highly sophisticated assembly line to accomodate this- I understand JIT manufacturing but this is ridiculous. anyone care to comment how to go about this? Its not a complicated package toyota! If all else fails to find the one I want, i will go to Port Newark in NJ where all the new 4runners come in on east coast and wander around till i see the one i want and see which dealer its going too

Have you talked to your dealer about a swap? Mine said he could get me about anything I wanted (minus 3rd row, haha) for a $150 swap fee or I could place an order and wait for it to arrive. "Assigned to a dealer" sounds suspect. That would totally be TMS side... not TMC for the manufacturing.

My dealer is a large multi-brand dealer with multiple locations......the person who specs and brings in the cars for their Toyota dealership had been working on a trade since the week before Christmas...he finally was able to pull it off the first week in January. He did tell me he has told Toyota that they will not take anymore 4Runners with the sliding rear cargo deck....period! My take on all this is they made all these units without third row....and the drill is to tell customers that it is a 3-4 month wait to order one....just so they can hopefully move these other units. You know it is just a matter of time till the lots will be full of these things.
