Line-X'd Fender Flares

Seriously thinking about Line-Xing my fender flares in black for both looks and durability. If I do, I'm curious which of these lines y'all think I should have the shop follow.

Any experience? I've found little to no pics of people who have done this on the late 4th Gen. If you know of any, please post them. I think the lines on the late 4th Gens would look good painted.

Honestly, I think it's going to be tough to use any of those lines. They're not going to come off clean or have a good line to follow.

I'd go with something like the dual tone sport editions have.

You can thank Chip Foose for this amazing rendering.

I'm not the biggest fan of the stock 2 tone look, but with painted metal instead of plastic, i think it could look good.

Yeah I really wish I could have more of an idea of what it would/could look like before hand. I haven't seen many people do this before. Maybe for a reason? Maybe not.

I am not going to search for it, but there was a thread about this already and many pictures of jobs done just like Duck posted above. It looks really good too. A few were of just around the wheel well and it makes it look like a '03 model which I don't like, but if you do go for it.

I'm curious about this too. My fender flares clear coat is chipping in a few places so I've been looking for ways to cover it up other than re painting it

I painted mine, but I would love to line them. I actually want to do my whole truck in Monstaliner. Here's a pic of mine painted though. I did the bumpers too.

Try it out with some plasti dip, and if you don't like it you can peel it off.

I'm heading back to East TN on Sunday, and I'll probably try it out with Plastidip then to see if it looks like a POS or not. I'll post pics when I do.

I agree with the plastidip. I did this on several things to see if I liked it before painting. Cheap and easy, completely removable!!
