little update

Hey guys,
Been off the grid for a little while. Been busy at the corrections academy. I am now a correctional officer with the State of TN. I finally bit the bullet and just took the truck to the local audio shop where they fixed the rapid flash. My foot is doing better, and I'm enjoying the new work. The downfalls:

Truck is only getting 16.5 MPG with my glorious 285 KM2's on there. Looks like I"m gonna haveta get me an all terrain that weighs less and has less resistance. Hopefully it'll increase my mileage a bit.

I'm liking the BFG Long Terrain. Its still an "all terrain" but has a 60k warrantee on it.

Thoughts, ideas, opinions?

they added a resistor and some wiring. honestly, i just really havent looked. If I remember i'll go take a picture later. I also haven't reset my trip computer in awhile. It keeps slowly going on the rise. I've adjusted speed to "65" (so the speedo says)

Even during the heat of summer I was only averaging 15-16 mpg. It was fine when I was local, but with a 50 mile commute each way now, the truck gets thirsty pretty quick.

Hubby put the fridge in his truck, since he has to get his own food at work, and I eat free food at work (free doesnt necessarily mean tasty), so that has basically solved the issue.

At some point in time I will go back to full size batteries vs the odysseys, but thats in the future at an undetermined time.

Right now our goal is to get everything back on track, and pay off a bunch of bills, so we can afford some toys (weapons)

I have 285/70/17 Cooper ATP and 3" OME my gas went down to 17, not sure how much they weigh compared to the KM2 but might be something to look into. As far as being a CO, keep your guard up and never turn your back on them, always keep your SA. Be safe

Yep, I've found that out pretty quick. Statistically speaking for my institution, you are more than likely to get the snot whooped out of you than cut, unless you are at the mental health unit, then you might get "stuff" thrown on ya.

I work at the max prison/death row for TN, so we've got some different programs and levels that prisoners can work to. Some of it is pretty interesting.

a med. security mens and now in a green clothes work release female camp.
Tho i work maintnenance i only had one problem, it was at the med. security mens, and the officers didnt do crap, i was able to get out and calm the problem down on my own.
BUT there are some bad asses that rather cut ya then speak.
I try not to piss them off.
As a maintenance worker, the inmates dont tend to get pissed at us, if we keep everything running

I work at a maximum security institution that houses death row. We've got everything from our minimum trustees who do all the landscaping up to supermax and a mental health unit. The biggest thing i've learned so far is that give respect, and you'll get respect. They might not like ya but they will respect you.
