LLAMA Tales Thread

So now everything seems to be OKAY... I have been trying to drive it rough through bumps and other objects before I take it out anywhere.

Wow man, gees I am glad you got you taken care of. Bit of a nightmare. Well be it said you made life for every future owner that much better. May you have some good karma for that. :)

Thanks dude!! it was pretty painful I have to say... I sure hope it helps others... The info needs to be updated in the suspension thread

Anytime! Want are you going to end up installing?

I haven't made a final decision yet. I was looking into the Fox 2.5s but after hearing about your issues with those I was considering the Fox 2.0 Performance series or the 6112/5160 set up. Being so indecisive right now, I was possibly just going to get some 5100s until I make up my mind.
Looking for a great ride for 98% highway, with a mild 2" lift and leveled truck.
Thanks for your curiosity and suggestions!

Mounted FN BFDs with Toyo A/T II 285/65R 18 Xtreme... Installed them at America's Tire Company, I decided to not mount center caps. According to the manager, the black center caps were only part of the front assembly. I wouldn't know otherwise, so input is appreciated....

Didn't Dustin give you caps? It's up to you but all FOUR would be the same and would fit.

I have these installed with center caps on the GX. If you don't want to install, get some black spray paint and make it match :-)

Did you replace that part? Looks like one of these

great build! PM me next time you head out to Anza Borrego. Ive been dying to head out there and explore/camp with some people.

Been a while since I updated this thread..

Earlier this year I got an after market radio and some cameras... Finally got around to installing it, or rather having someone do it, since it's electrical work and didn't want to mess with it.

Luckily the installer was super knowledgeable and ended up hooking up two front cameras for me. The cameras are $11 only!! from amazon and work really well for what they cost. Reason I wanted the second camera, is to mount it on the bottom of the truck so I can see the other side of a steep incline.

I went with the Maestro as well, which has a built in OBD with gauge/tpms displays, pretty neat.

He had me run to a local vid/audio shop and picked up/installed a video relay to switch between both cameras

Mojave Desert

Back in April, went a trip to Mojave with a few others. Not a lot of technical driving and Nothing a Subaru couldn't clear, it was still lots of a fun.

My favorite photo to date:
