Locker installer in San Diego county?

Hi all. I got a good deal on an ARB locker, but now I'm looking for someone to install it.

ORW wants $650. They've done me right in the past but that seems a tad steep.

Anyone in the San Diego county area get a locker installed locally they would recommend? Price?

The Truck Shop quoted $450 which is still a chunk of change but plenty less than ORW in this case so I guess I'll get it done there.

If this weren't my daily driver and didn't mind possibly be down for a few days waiting for unexpected parts I'd just do it myself :/

But I assume the Truck Shop has done a few and they have a 12 month warranty and can have it done in a day :)

They can't guarantee getting it done in one day and it's almost inconceivable having to leave my daily driver there when I live in Escondido :/ Not going to rent a car for 2-3 days on top of $450 install on top of $800 for the part!

Though it might help if I pre-buy all the parts that /could/ fail during the install. I.e. the inner bearings, gaskets etc.

This may be warning #2 that I really don't want to do this. First was; I couldn't even buy the thing because the website of the place I got it from had an error during my payment processing and I couldn't even order it :P

So... anyone want to buy brand new ARB locker for say... $650?!? :)

Wow you really gonna get rid of it that quick? That part alone runs about $1k. To get that part at regular price with install will be well over $1500-$1700. Man this is very tempting if your serious. Muuuuuussssttttttt rrrrrreeeesssiiissstttttt. (In the back round)

Me: oh ok babe. Dang it!

I would hold on to that if I were you and get it installed when your good and ready to. 4lo with atrac has gotten me and the 4r through some pretty gnarly stuff. Yes a locker would've probably made it easier,but didn't need it. So for now, I'm good.

Ummm did you ask if they will let you rent a car from them for dirt cheap?

They give me a car for free usually but hey I guess I'm special. If you don't ask you will never know.

Well I've got it worked out with someone from work to drive me home if necessary. Going to take it in the week after thanksgiving. Though I will ask about the loaner car as I'd rather not inconvenience someone if I don't have to :)

And man they were super busy the day I went! They need to move to a little bit bigger place :D
