Long term gasoline storage

Stabil is great stuff. I store my car every winter, and always put Stabil in it before storing. It always fires right up every time and the gas stays fresh. I use it when storing gas as well. My buddy tried it out in his chainsaws and lawn equipment and said that they're firing up faster than ever before now.
Shoot, I even throw it in my 4Runner from time to time in the winter when using winter blend gas

My father and I have a lot of cars and they set for long periods. None were ever ment for ethnol fuel so I run and store them with 110 octane aviation fuel. It has all the stuff in it that will not gum up anything. Most of my cars, '64 Mustang covertable, 2 '65 Mustang Fastbacks, '79 Formula Firebird, and even my '67 Econoline love the extra kick. I either drive them to the airport or fill some cans. Expensive but no problems with it for years.

Seemingly PRI-G is better than STA-BIL, but PRI-G is more expensive.
Does it really "increase your gas mileage"? Maybe I will do an experiment.
Do you use PRI-G the same way you use STA-BIL, ie. mix in with the gasoline when you first store it?

What if you bought a higher grade blend like premium? I know around here that ethanol is not used in that grade. Would shelf life on premium be better if stored properly?
The OP raises a point though... a lot goods these days are just in-time delivery meaning there's little supply available is there is a disruption. Our local refinery closed so we only have a gasoline terminal now. The tanker was delayed last week and stations around the area were running out of regular and mid-grade blends this weekend. Hurricane season is also here. I remember stations running out due to runs on gas stations because of fears of overnight price and/or supply shocks during Katrina and the hurricane that followed after.
