I bought my 05 4runner limited from the used car area at Longo Toyota and the service was excellent. No hard close or overly agressive sales reps.
I looked all over Los Angeles and the were the easiest to deal with and when I bought a car with them the process was as nice and easy as when I bought my BMW.
Their prices are lower on average compared to the other dealerships in the area as well and I had herd that from more then one source before I went there.

Ask for Frank Williams or Mitch in the used car area. Good luck with your purchase.

Got mine on the 15th. Butch Gabutina is the Filipino fleet guy we got hooked up with and he was great. Bought a 2008 SR5 V6 4X4 with the extra value package and towing hook ups for almost $500 under invoice, and he threw in the All-Weather Mats, the alarm that was already installed, and a Cargo Net.

Don't know about the service section and since we live up north we will most likely use a different dealership if it needs servicing above and beyond our expertise (which now seems miniscule after reading through some of the other member posts!)

Bought my 98 there July 08 and had a great experience. I was newly home from deployment overseas and they "Thanked me for my Service" and took 3k off of an already fair price ,for year and mileage vehicle, they had it advertised for online. I could not complain about the helpfull staff and the deal.

Just FYI.... Longo refuses to sell to out of staters unless you pay cash. Not a cashier's check. Not financed through them. Cash... like stacks of 100 dollar bills in a briefcase. No lie.

They are good for residents of that county. Other than that? Look elsewhere.

That would be hilarious. I forgot to add the best part. They will only sell at full sticker to out of staters as well. Full sticker price in CASH. I talked to them on the phone and thought they were kidding. So I called back and talked to a few different folks. They said "that's company policy". Over and over and over. Weird stuff.

I once paid off my work's cafeteria bill in pennies on my last day of work. That was one big sack of coins. Haha.

I used to think Long was awesome. I purchased my 4Runner from them.

HOWEVER, they have failed to honor their role and have refused to try and fix my sulfur exhaust problem (since 2 other attempts have been made and they're afraid a 3rd attempt will trigger an automatic lemon law situation).

My lawyer has suggested that I drive my vehicle to the dealership, give them a written description of my problem along with my contact info, and walk away. If they refuse to try and fix it at that time, we should have a very strong case for arbitration.

And my 4Runner has THE WORST smelling I've encountered. It stinks even when cruising at 60 MPH on the freeway.



Screw Longo Toyota. Once they've got your money, they could care less about you.

@ Ginu....hate to break it to you but.......mats, cargo net and that mini tow hitch that you got a good deal on........standard issue partner. I shopped for almost 8 months before buying mine from Cerritos Toyota.

Then I got robbed. No hitch ($430 option for '06+ V6), cargo net (accessory item) or all weather mats (accessory item, it came with carpeted mats) with mine. None were listed as standard items.

Mine came with the carpet floormats and hitch with no cover. I asked the salesman where is the cargo net, spider net, valor tip, and hitch cover? He said those were accessories that i had to buy. So i told him i am not buying an incomplete "Limited" 4Runner b/c it looks ugly without them. I even showed him the brochure how it suppose to look like. The salesman went to the parts section and asked who prepped the rig? After 20 minutes, there it was. He apologized it took a bit longer b/c they had to install them. After signing a whole bunch of papers, i asked if i could borrow his philip screw driver. Then i took off the dealer plates in front of him. He asked why? I told him that they do not own the 4R anymore. The bank does as a lienholder under my name unless the dealership pays me $20 a day to advertise their business. imp:

definitely not a fan of longo. when i was buying my 4runner, we were at longo negotiating a price on the SR5 4wd V6. they were totally giving me the run around, so i called Toyota of Hollywood in front of the Longo guy. they had 2 SR5 4wd V8's (black and white) and were selling for cheaper than the Longo guy was selling the V6. if the longo guy would've matched the price on the V6 we would've signed papers. he didn't. we told him we were going to leave and he was all, "they probably don't have it they're just trying to get you down there." so called toyota of hollywood back, told 'em to hold the black one and i was on my way. got a killer deal on the 4Runner, and then a week later the longo guy has the audacity to call me back and be like, well we could've offered you the same deal . . . why not?

anyhow, i've subsequently helped an ex and a family member buy a couple more cars at toyota of hollywood and i've always gotten amazing deals there. way below invoice (which is all smoke and mirrors anyway). they have yet to let me down.

I leased my wife's new Prius Pkg V at Longo last Feb 2011 and got the deal of a century. The car was detailed when we arrived and paperwork was printed ready for our signatures when we got there. (Call ahead and do the application w/Toyota online if you are financing) I went through the Internet Dept and used Eddie Afra. Spent about 45 min total there from "Hi" to "Bye" handshake.

I went back this Jan 2012 and bought my 07 V/8 Runner Limited for less than $15k(that's another deal of the century in my mind) the vehicle was ready to go, service history provided and paperwork printed and ready to sign---spent 45 min to drive off again. I've owned TONS of vehicles and never has buying/pricing been this easy for me. BMW & Mercedes have been the only other makers that have given this type of service and respect to my time.

Build a relationship with one guy and "use him" He makes a living doing this and will take care of those taking care of him. My guy Eddie has gotten 4 deals from me and friends/co-workers since selling me the 1st one in Jan last year. He gets paid on volume not the cost, so he wants what I want...to make it quick and painful and let's both move on til the next one.
