replacing my rear icon's(its still new and will be up for sale soon :becky... since i got my bilstein 6112's up front want a matching set, oh and by the way those mounting brackets sell by each not by the set... had to get 2 and at 40 bucks a pop its pricy....

Icon rear Vs series shocks suck. 4 of them leaked on me. Never purchasing icon rears again. Front icon coilovers are fantastic.

Seems to happen alot with the 2.0 shocks. 2.5 is the way to go back there. I just installed the 2.0 but will upgrade to 2.5 when the time comes.

changing the shocks wont take long... if i don't like it i will just change them back than get icon's upfront. its bugs when i have mismatched sets of suspension...

i have read good reviews on bilstein 5160's... whats not good about them?

Nothing I've heard says they're bad, but my experience with the Icon 2.0 is they are pretty amazing. Since you are wanting to stick with the same brand, I understand, but you are giving up a pretty decent shock. Not sure it's worth the swap considering the extra expense of the 5160s.

Travel wise, your 5160's have 1.5" less downtravel (same collapsed length) at the shock than the Icon 2.0's.

but...if one was to almost never off road (maybe a curb once in a while) and has a 2wd drive train... the down travel would not be a big deal?
