I hear ya, but the "too far" pretty much trumps a good deal for me. I bought an '89 Land Cruiser (FJ62) that started its life at Fort Huachuca and found its way to Yorktown, VA (not PA) where I bought it and brought to NC. It is still a sweet, sweet vehicle with no rust.
Being on the East Coast is not a bad thing unless it's northeast or actually on the coast (beach runner). I looked at the undercarriage and it's clean, engine bay is clean, so no real concerns (my 94 LC has been in NC for 15 years, including the beach... no rust).
