Looking at a 1st gen SC need opinions.

I have come across a 1st gen SC off a 99 tacoma. It has 138k on the sc, oil was changed at 90k. I have a 02 4runner with 123k on it, if I install a tranny cooler with the SC is there anything I should be concerned about?

Ya it is probably going to need a rebuild because they are suppose to be rebuilt at 100k miles. Also I would look into having the valve body redone by level 10 or IPT for the extra power.

+1 on the rebuild. It might be fine to just slap it on, but you might as well rebuild it before it goes on.

Check out Magnuson or PSE to get it rebuilt.

You can rebuild it yourself if you have a press for about $200. I recently rebuilt my Gen 1 blower, it was pretty easy (there is a thread on here about it as well).

He is wanting $1500 but includes a TRD exhaust from a tacoma. I think I am going to pass do to the rebuil unless I can get it for a steal.
