Looking at headers(3VZE..).....

There really is not much out there, some of the alternatives are cheaply done. NWOR's are pretty nice but over 1k. Too bad there is not a decent set of used ones around. NW one's have some decent stats, with 23hp and 2 mpg increase. What is everyone else running, header wise?
The job of installing those headers does not look fun. Replacing the motor mounts on our truck was a real bear cat of task. I'll probably just take the plunge.

I'd believe it with the exhaust manifolds that are on the 3VZE. They are exceedingly restrictive, and were not designed with performance/mpg in mind at all.
I could feel the difference when we modified our airbox for better flow and intake. Little things can yield some nice results on these trucks. It's just their price point is up there. I had a tough time with $585 for factory rad(brass/copper multi core).

I've got a few problems with these headers:
1) online reviews from owners are not good, too much heat at floor board, ie burnt carpets.
2) poor fitment
3) no cross pipe for auto 4runners
4) flange at head not as thick as the NWOR
I do like that they use ceramic, instead of the chrome plating.

Personally I'd go with LCE headers. Mainly because you know they will fit right, they are quality, and will pass emissions (if you are tested). Although you are paying premium for them. Just piece of mind for the price IMO.
