I am looking at picking up a 95 that need rods bearing. I am just going to go the JDM route and pick up the motor what is the most you guys would pay for it. I is a east coast runner everything looks good minus the racket coming from the bottom end.

Thanks Will

Assuming that you're talking about replacing the stock 3.0 with a JDM import, I wouldn't. If you're going to go to the effort of replacing the block, replace it with a 5VZE, not a used motor identical to the one you've got.

Otherwise fix the one you've got and drive it another 200,000+ miles.

I ha e looked at the 3.4 swap but think it would be more then I want to drop on it now. I might just pull the old motor and rebuilt it. I am going to go look at it This afternoon after work. What would you guy pay for a runner with a buster motor?

Not much. If the rest of the truck was in really really good condition, I might offer more than a thousand. If it's in typical 4Runner condition and needs serious engine work, I wouldn't go more than four or five hundred, and that'd be pushing it.

i went with a jdm import 3.0 v6 1500 shipped to my door i used it as a long block since it was right hand drive. i have put 6k miles on it and it runs great doesnt burn any oil the oil is clean at 3000 miles.

Nice! Can't wait to see what you do to get her back on the road.

Note: Are those military stickers on the front bumper? If they aren't yours you should remove them.

I keep the sticker just write them down that away when I go get it on the road I can save the tax payers some cash... Lol...
