Looking for a good shop in Denver metro area

Hey guys,

I came home from work tonight to discover a huge puddle of oil underneath my rear diff. The entire undercarriage is covered in oil (ugh) and there is a burning smell. The car is a 96 SR5 5spd 4x4 with e-Locker. I can only assume this is a leaking diff (hopefully not completely dead).

I'm looking for a reputable and affordable (broke college student) shop in the Denver metro area. Thanks for any and all help!

For tons of $$ and a week or two wait...

Ive never gotten less than a week wait for anything I have called them to do. I do hear they do good work though. Ive never had the opportunity to wait a few weeks though to see.

you just thinking gasket/seals? I know plenty of guys that will help you dig into it if you want to save yourself some $$ and do it yourself...

I pulled my front diff with some friends, Im gonna have our gear guy put the gears and trutrac lsd in and then Im gonna put it back together...

Quite true, I'm looking to have the Bilstein adjustable front shocks installed/standard length rears and they're booked into Oct. Anyone have another shop suggestion?

Yes I understand this thread is old and the OP has likely already fixed the original problem...

But another Denver shop suggestion is Hotchkiss auto, 303-780-7747. They are located on Colefax near Monaco. They have worked on my 4R and my wifes Camry Hybrid along with coworkers 60's Camaro, heavily modified Bronco, etc... Seem to be able to do it all. I've had a one day turn around on most work and they have been very flexible in setting appointments and getting the work done in a timely manner. We believe they also have very honest pricing compared to other places we contacted and just hands down better then any of the local Toyota dealers.

Reviving this thread - any other opinions? With all the 4Runners here in Denver, there must be a few shops people are willing to recommend, right?

I'm looking for basic maintenance stuff - timing belt, water pump, tune, etc.

If you lived in COS I'd tell you to go to Toy Tech.....family owned and good to go. Besides, any shop that has a boosted 22re has to be good right?
