Looking for engine, need help

I need a new engine for my pickup, I know this is a Runner-forum, but you guys know your Toyota's, so I thought I'd give it a try

I'm looking for the 5L diesel engine, it's a 3liter non-turbo. Anyone know where I might be able to get one?

Toyota diesels never really made it to the US, so you probably won't get much response.

I know, but I've seen some for sale I think I've searched all of Norway without luck

You might try googling jdm imports. Most of the used diesel Toyota stuff is coming out of Japan(low km and crashed vehicles) and getting imported in to countries like Canada(and the like). An engine should not be too hard to source. Dealing internationally for me would be a challenge though. Best of luck.

There is a local shop near me that imports JDM diesel engines. PM me and I'll give you the contact info. I've never dealt with them personally but they advertise they have Diesel engines from Japan. As for shipping that's another story.
